I am very pleased to introduce Penny Mahood, registered MFT intern, working under the supervision of Cynthia Heier.
Welcome. A little about me...
I am a graduate of John F. Kennedy University with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, Holistic Studies. I have spent the last two years working with children, families, and individuals in an agency, family resource center, and at an elementary school. In addition, I hold a B.S. degree in Child Development and have worked with families in educational settings as a teacher and program director for over 15 years.
My practice is focused on working with children, teens and individuals. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals to create and live authentic, heart-connected, vibrant lives. I have additional training as well as experience working with mid-life emotional, physical, and spiritual well -being. I am a certified nutritional consultant and believe in the mind-body connection. My experience includes working in a variety of sectors including, early childhood education, parent education, health and wellness, and personal transformation coaching.
My own journey of unfolding informs my work and is supported through my practice of yoga, hiking in nature, and building mindfulness through meditation. I believe in the perfection of one’s spirit and strive to support individuals journey to self-love and acceptance.
